Fits in: Mike is a leadership developer and team facilitator, who designs and delivers developmental assignments.
Andy’s view: For me, Mike is a true master of leadership and team development. He has a great skill for creating an environment in which people learn, and the in which the most important conversations can take place. He has a quiet energy level which does not crowd a room, and yet always seems surefooted and aware of the groups needs at any moment.
Getting to here: Alongside working with People Deliver Projects, Mike runs his own business in leadership and change. He has twenty years’ experience in facilitating leadership for change at senior levels in organisations including Cadbury Schweppes, Diageo, the BBC, Astra Zeneca, BP, and the UK Government Department for International Development. Mike is an associate faculty of ING Business School, maintains active links with Henley School of Management, and Lancaster University School of Management Learning.
Education: A degree (Geography) A Post Graduate Certificate in Education. Qualified in the use of Myers Briggs, Birkman, and both the JCA and Hay Emotional Intelligence instruments. MBTI Step I & II, Hay EI 360, Hogan Development Inventory. He holds Diplomas in Coaching and Management.
In real life: Mike balances work and family life with a love of adventure and is a keen mountaineer and sailor, as well as a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
